• Today I traveled 23.1 miles with 6191 feet of ascent and 5518 feet of descent.
• Today my goal was to get to US route 4 to catch a bus into Rutland, VT where I’d be resupplying and staying at a hostel. To give myself enough time in the evening in town, I hit the trail early.
• It was another perfect weather day, sunny in the low 60s, and the trail was smooth.
• I ran into my first mini bubble of SOBOs in weeks! There were 4 of them that I talked to and passed by. I probably won’t see 3 if then again though as they started about a month before me so our paces aren’t aligned. But I’ve of them started 3 days before me so there’s a chance we keep running into each other. Either way, it was exciting to be hiking the same section with people heading in the same direction as me.
