Is that a Cheese Steak or a Small Child?
- Today I traveled 26.6 miles with 3353 feet of ascent and 4295 feet of descent.
- It rained a bit this morning but it ended up mostly being foggy throughout the day.
- We ended the day in Port Clinton, a small somewhat forgotten town. The local church has an outdoor yard and pavillion that they allow hikers to camp at.
- We had dinner at the only spot in town, Port Clinton Hotel, which was easily the best bang for your buck stop on the trail so far. A $6 large fry was nearly 3 pounds, and Sweet Potato got a cheese steak that was the size of football.
- We met a man at the pavillion that was walking south on the trail to mine for rubies in North Carolina and pan for gold in Georgia’s rivers. He was wearing golf shoes on the trail.
Peace!
