Lucifer's Gifts

• Today I traveled 28 miles with 6460 feet of ascent and 5138 feet of descent.
• I’m officially in Shenandoah National Park, and have returned to 3000+ elevation. It feels great to be back up in the mountains and getting to take in some great views.
• Tonight Sweet Potato and I started at Byrd’s Nest #3 Shelter and shared it with a man who’s trail name was Lucifer who was out on a 2 day hiking trip in the Shennys. He gave us some lots of food and a bunch of crazy stories. In the morning he made a hot coffee for me and gave Sweet Potato and I some cash to pick up a few beers at the next wayside. What a guy!
