Virginia is Flat!

• Today I traveled 25.5 miles with 6913 feet of ascent and 5476 feet of descent.
• Although the phrase “Virginia is flat!” gets thrown around a lot, VA has some pretty solid climbs. Today was the most tired I’ve been during climbs since maybe New Hampshire!
• We stayed at Thunder Hill Shelter tonight and it was packed with section hikers and hikers out for the weekend. I think there were at least 9 people staying there.
