Walking the Blue Ridge

• Today I traveled 23.9 miles with 5118 feet of ascent and 7116 feet of descent.
• The first 5 miles of today consisted of us doing a road walk in the Blue Ridge Parkway. The old AT used to walk on the road in this section and it features some amazing views. The current AT runs 20-50 yards away, parallel to the road but it’s always in the forest so most of the views are interrupted by trees.
